Check two registers
The Bank of Ghana directory concerns payment institutions. The Gaming Commission register concerns gambling operators. Neither tells you which wallet buttons your account will show.
Match each record to the right question
| What you see | How to read it | Next check |
|---|---|---|
| Wallet prompt | What am I being asked to approve? | Check amount, recipient and currency before authorising |
| Wallet ledger | Did funds leave or return? | Check status and copy the provider reference |
| Merchant cashier | Was the amount applied to my account? | Check the order status and merchant reference |
| Support ticket | Who is tracing the mismatch? | Keep the case number and latest reply |
Read the official cashier
- Check the Ghana site and correct account.
- Look for the exact wallet name, currency, fee and allowed amount.
- Compare the payment prompt to the order before approval.
- Check wallet and merchant histories separately afterward.
Worked example
Suppose your wallet records GHS 30 but the merchant shows a pending order. Record both IDs and the timestamp, and ask the merchant to trace that order. Sending another GHS 30 could create a second transaction without resolving the first.
The cashier shows a wallet you do not use
Check the available options under your own Ghana account, rather than relying on a screenshot from another country or a different customer. A wallet logo in a help article is not a live payment option. If your wallet is absent, ask about supported methods before initiating anything.
